Ahead of the Spring/Summer 2019 shows, Pantone declared a handful of colours that would be the "it" colours of the season. Among them: Aspen Gold. Nothing says cheerful like Aspen Gold - that sunburst yellow/orange that immediately makes you feel upbeat. Yellow is a cheery, unisex colour, so it was a pleasure to have it warm up the sometimes cold spring/ summer runways, also being a favourite colour in the spring 2019 nail trends.

At New York Fashion Week, the first stop on a packed month of ss19 catwalk shows, the collections were soaked in Aspen Gold. It might not be such a coincidence that this potent colour washed the runways of Mansur Gavriel, Brandon Maxwell, Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta as the Pantone colour experts included it in their trend-prediction pack. “The already Aspen Gold-soaked collections being shown for Spring/Summer 2019 are indicative of a larger trend within the practice of trend forecasting: the evolution of trend forecasting to trend dictating – and a greater revelation about the market more generally” says The Fashion Law.

So from nail art to fashion to home decor, we’ve kept a close eye on this popular new colour. But we always have our customers best interests at heart and highly recommend you jump on this bandwagon when it comes to your packaging. Watching retailers update their retail packaging based on current design and colour trends is a great marketing strategy to get customers talking about your brand online. It also helps retain them as future customers.

Our Gold gift boxes may not be the exact replica of Aspen Gold but it has a beautiful, sophisticated and unique gold pearlescent matt lustre finish for the ultimate in luxury gift hamper packaging and retail presentation packaging. It’s a perfect stepping stone for retailers wanting to move away from their standard packaging options. Our ribbons however, are going to be right up your alley. You can mix up your standard packaging options by incorporating colours similar to Aspen Gold. We recommend these two popular ribbon colours:

Sustainability is no longer a secondary consideration for brands. It is something customers expect to see, understand and experience the moment they receive a product. Packaging plays a central role in that experience. It is often the first physical interaction a customer has with a brand and increasingly, it is where values are judged. However, eco-friendly packaging does not need to feel basic or compromised. In fact, the most effective sustainable packaging is not just recyclable, but designed to be kept.
