What Makes a SoftBox Different?
Unlike our traditional rigid Foldabox® gift boxes, which are constructed from heavyweight greyboard with a paper or fabric covering, SoftBoxes are manufactured as premium folding cartons from 540gsm dye-through kraft board. This creates a lighter box with its own distinctive material character while retaining the substantial feel required for professional product presentation.
Because the board is dye-through, the colour runs throughout the material rather than being printed onto a white board surface. This helps prevent contrasting white edges and crease lines from appearing as the carton is folded and assembled, maintaining a consistent colour across the finished box.
540gsm Dye-Through Kraft Board with a Matt Finish
The substantial 540gsm board gives SoftBoxes greater presence and rigidity than a conventional lightweight folding carton while remaining significantly lighter than a traditional rigid greyboard gift box.
The surface is unlaminated, allowing the matt character of the dye-through kraft board to remain visible and tactile. Colour continues across the inside and outside of the carton, creating a coordinated appearance without requiring an additional paper lining.
Fold-Flat Construction with a Secure Slot-Lock Base
SoftBoxes are supplied flat packed for efficient storage and straightforward fulfilment. The integrated slot-lock base assembles quickly and holds the carton securely in shape once constructed, without requiring magnets or adhesive corner tabs.

Changeable Grosgrain Ribbon
Each SoftBox is supplied with a coordinating 2.5cm wide grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon threads through three discreet slots in the lid rather than being permanently attached, creating a decorative closure while allowing the ribbon to be removed and replaced.
This interchangeable system makes it easy to adapt a stock SoftBox to different brand palettes, product collections, corporate clients, campaigns, seasons or events simply by changing the ribbon colour.
