Modern Slavery Policy

Foldabox® is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business operations and supply chain. We recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards and to ensure that modern slavery does not exist in any form within the business or among our suppliers.

Our Business

Foldabox® is a UK-based company specialising in the design and supply of premium folding gift boxes and packaging accessories for the luxury B2B sector, including beauty, hospitality, and gifting brands. We sell predominantly online, supplying customers in the UK, Europe, and internationally.

Our manufacturing is outsourced to trusted partners in the UK, China and Taiwan, with whom we have built long-standing relationships, many spanning more than a decade.

Our Commitment

We are absolutely committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We expect the same from all those we work with and will not tolerate forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, or any form of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains.

Supply Chain Due Diligence

Foldabox® works with a small number of carefully selected suppliers and factories. We take the following steps to ensure our supply chain is free from modern slavery:

  • Factory Audits: Our main manufacturing partner undergoes regular independent audits, including SMETA 4-Pillar audits covering labour standards, health & safety, environment, and business ethics.
  • Long-Term Relationships: We prioritise working with factories we have known for many years and with whom we have developed trust and transparency.
  • FSC & Ethical Certification: Our gift box factory holds FSC® Chain of Custody certification and is committed to ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices.
  • Direct Sourcing: We work directly with our factories rather than through agents, enabling better oversight of working conditions.
  • Factory Visits: Our MD and management staff have visited our suppliers on many occasions over many years.

Employee Awareness and Conduct

Foldabox® is a small business with a core team based in the UK and Ireland, all of whom work remotely. We ensure that:

  • All UK-based employees are paid at least the national living wage.
  • We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, bullying, and exploitation.
  • We expect all our team members to share our values of fairness, dignity, and respect.

Training and Risk Management

Although our size means formal training programs are not required, our team is aware of modern slavery risks and encouraged to report any concerns.

We continuously review our supply chain for red flags and remain vigilant as we expand into new markets.

Approval and Review
