Foldabox® is committed to sustainability by creating high-quality gift packaging that customers want to keep, reuse and enjoy for years. Our gift boxes are designed with longevity in mind, because recycling should be the final step — not the first thought when a gift is opened.

Our packaging combines premium presentation with responsible material choices, helping brands deliver a better unboxing experience with less waste.

♻️ Sustainable Packaging by Design

At Foldabox®, sustainability begins with thoughtful design. Our luxury folding gift boxes are created to be reused, repurposed and enjoyed long after the original gift has been received.

Unlike traditional rigid gift boxes, our folding boxes are designed to collapse flat, reducing storage and transportation volume by 50% to 95%. This significantly lowers the space required for warehousing and shipping, helping reduce overall energy consumption across the supply chain.

Less space used in storage and transport means fewer resources are required to move and store packaging — allowing our customers to focus their investment on the products they sell, not the packaging that surrounds them.

Combined with durable construction and responsibly sourced materials, this design-led approach helps ensure Foldabox® packaging delivers both luxury presentation and long-term sustainability. This approach allows our customers to present their products beautifully while also supporting more responsible packaging choices.

🌿 Recycled Materials & Responsible Design

Foldabox® gift boxes are manufactured using materials that are approximately 92% recycled by product weight.

The greyboard used to form the rigid box structure is AAA grade, 100% recycled and certified.
The art paper used on our Black, White, Pale Pink and Pale Blue boxes, along with the speciality papers used for other colours, comes from certified sustainable sources.
Our Natural Kraft Gift Boxes use kraft paper that is 60% recycled. Due to material limitations, 100% recycled kraft paper is not suitable as it may crack along the joints.

The paper used on our Black, White, Pale Pink and Pale Blue boxes is finished with a matt or anti-scratch PP lamination, which should ideally be removed before recycling.

Note: Our Black and White Single and Double Bottle Boxes and Black and White No Magnet Boxes are unlaminated. These do not require paper removal before recycling — only the ribbon on slot-closure versions should be removed.

We also recommend removing magnets, ribbons and decorative closures before recycling. While ribbons are technically recyclable, we encourage reusing or donating them wherever possible.

While recycling is important, it is not carbon neutral. Only around 40% of domestic waste is recycled, so extending the life of useful packaging is one of the most effective ways to reduce environmental impact.
