Originally designed and developed by Foldabox® in 2017, Naked Box® offers a distinctive alternative to conventional laminated or printed gift packaging. The special non-printed grey paper has a natural mid-grey colour with subtle flecking, creating a tactile matt finish that provides a contemporary alternative to traditional brown kraft packaging.

The character of Naked Box® comes from the paper itself. Rather than using a printed grey ink, the box is covered inside and outside with a special 160gsm naturally grey textured paper with subtle flecking.
There is no lamination, allowing the natural appearance and texture of the paper to remain part of the finished packaging. The closest Pantone reference is 416C, although we recommend ordering a sample where precise colour assessment is important.
The natural mid-grey colour offers businesses a different approach to neutral packaging. It retains the understated character associated with natural paper finishes while providing a more contemporary alternative to conventional brown kraft.

Naked Box® also differs from many of our conventional magnetic folding gift boxes in its construction. Instead of adhesive corner tabs, the box incorporates double folding inner flaps at the front and back to hold the assembled box firmly in position.
This allows the box to be unassembled and folded flat again if required, making it practical for storage and reuse while retaining the substantial presentation of a rigid gift box when assembled.
Please note: Because of the additional inner assembly flaps, the usable internal front-to-back dimension is fractionally smaller than other A5 Deep gift boxes of the same external size. We particularly recommend ordering a sample where product fit or insert dimensions are critical.
The A5 Deep box is manufactured from substantial 1200g recycled greyboard and features a 5cm deep front flap with two concealed magnetic closures. This provides a secure snap-shut closure while maintaining the understated exterior of the box.
No ribbon is supplied, leaving the natural grey surface uninterrupted and providing businesses with a versatile base for labels, sleeves, tissue paper, wax seals and other branded packaging accessories.
