Pantone declared a handful of colours that would be the "it" colours of the season. Amongst them: Classic Blue. Classic Blue is officially the Colour of the Year 2020. “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era,” says Pantone. This colour is an absolute “wow”, and we’re so happy about this choice. One can't go wrong when a colour represents royal meanings such as dependability, trustworthiness, credibility, and constancy. All of these traits are something that is highly sought after in the fast paced environment we live in.

We here at Foldabox love the timeless quality this soft colour has to offer. It can be a real statement piece or something more demure, it really depends on your taste and the use of the item. We stock many different versions of what they call "Classic blue" However we have an exciting range of blues to offer. These vibrant and vivid, rich blues look great with White, Black, Silver, Rose Gold, Copper and Bronze Slot Gift Boxes.

Have a look at our lovely range of grosgrain ribbons in deep sea colours that scream and romantic anchoring foundation:

Why not add a gorgeous new gemstone closure that can suit any occasion. If you’re trying to achieve the classic blue colour, we recommend birthstone closures such as aBlue Zircon (pale turquoise blue) gemstone; the ideal December Birthstone gift box or keepsake box accessory. Looking for something a bit darker? Why not choose theSapphire (dark blue) decorative gemstone which is also ideal for September birthdays. These add that extra touch of personalisation this holiday season.

With the announcement of Classic Blue, Pantone has hopefully set the tone for a peaceful and productive 2020. Between chic interior design and Pantone swatch mugs, we’re excited to see what this colour will bring. How will you be incorporating Classic Blue into your retail packaging?

It is about how intentional the experience feels. Customers notice the weight of the box, the precision of the fit, the quality of materials and the consistency of colour and detail. When these elements are handled well, packaging can feel luxurious without requiring a fully bespoke solution.
