Every bride and groom deserve to have the wedding of their dreams, and we’re here to make sure it is a memorable one in as many ways as we possibly can. We’ve compiled a list of trends that will be gracing the wedding aisles this year:
Monochrome colours
Keeping it simple seems the rule for this season, opting rather for a monochromatic theme than pairing colours. Starting with neutral territory, such as white or ivory, and having differing tones of one colour. Pantone’s picks of the year should see muted, earthy tones, including Kale and Hazelnut, with pops of primary colours like Lapis Blue and Primrose Yellow as prime contenders for wedding theme colours. Our suggestion is to use our elegantIvory andWhite boxes which have changeable ribbons to suit the chosen wedding colour. The new Ivory has been especially developed as a special paper, not a printed ink colour. It’s a true, very pale ivory and we are the only company with the best selection of sizes in true wedding ivory.
Metallic touches
Metallic touches in copper, rose gold, and pewter are still firm bride-favourites, mostly because they’re so versatile. They work with most colours and complement the sophistication of the event. Best not to overdo the ‘shine’ and rather use the metallic sparingly; eg. metallic linens on every table would be too much, but pewter or copper centrepieces are just right.
Hand lettering fonts
Calligraphy is historically romantic, and will always be a favourite for wedding stationery. Considered an art form it works beautifully printed in gold leaf on invitations and gift boxes. There are so many incredible hand lettering fonts available and they look amazing on all aspects of wedding stationery.
Organic and botanical
Many couples are choosing to get married in the great outdoors. Organic is a big trend right now, and withVoguenaming 2017 the year of Greenery we can expect to see a lot of weddings inspired by earthy vibes and botanical elements. Ournatural kraft boxes create the ideal organic look and feel for weddings like these. While a lot of brides still love the idea of traditional bouquets of flowers, we will definitely see more use of foliage and leaves to complete the botanical look.
We’re looking forward to seeing how our customers use their Foldabox products this wedding season!
